Okay, so, I am really not a fan of Iron Man... I know there is an existing marvel character named Iron Man,. but I know little about this superhero. I was just invited by my best pals to watch Iron Man last Saturday and I can say that I loved the film. It was really cool. I wanted something like his computer... cool... I really did appreciate the movie. Like Transformers, I appreciated the movie. I love the effects and the cause. Hehehe.. World Peace!!!! Cool! Hope there is a sequel to that film... | Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Romance |
Watched the movie last Saturday night...I rated it with 4 stars because of this: Although the movie's storyline was too shallow for a romantic setting- its just a love lost and new love found, the visuals and the insertion of the songs was the one which really made me fall in love with the film.
The editing was really good. The transition between scenes was good. The insertion of the songs were also good. Visually the film really gave the Beatles something to be proud of. The concept of the movie was really good. It just shows how much thought and creaivity was put in to set-up a film such as Across the Universe. The symbolisms were also good. So, another test that makes me weirder by a notch. My personal theme song. Okay so its ABBA's Dancing Queen. A fun tuned song! A popular song in the 80's. or is it the 70's? Anyway, its my song according to the tests...
How come? I know I am an introvert most of the times. Its like a 80-20 chance of being an extrovert, so how can I make the scene... and dance with everybody? I can cook. Maybe that's it.. that's the reason why I ended up with ABBA.
The verdict: Whether it's throwing your own theme party or mixing it up on the karaoke stage, we can see you strutting towards the jukebox in platform, glitter boots and a skintight jumpsuit to the tune of your personal anthem, "Dancing Queen." You aren't just part of the scene, you make it. You anticipate the good stuff in life, and with a theme song like yours, you're sure to get a lot of it. Crown jewel of the 70s, this Abba smash is expected to raise spirits in just about any environment, from dance floor to kitchen floor, and full-blown party. Yours is the comfort food of theme songs—steady and always welcome. Which is how your friends often view you. At your next soiree, it wouldn't surprise us if you danced with everyone for about 30 seconds, started a mambo line, then spun off to dance, jive, and have the time of your life as only a true Dancing Queen can.
Okay, so I've been addicted to online personality tests since last, last year. And now, its time to reveal something about me.. according to the results of the tests I've taken.
The verdict: My strongest sense is Right and Wrong
Doing things by the book. That's your style. Not one to rock the boat, you know that there is a time and a place for everything like how much to tip a server or when to keep your opinions to yourself. It's that keen awareness of right and wrong that helps you make a decision quickly and efficiently so you can move on to the next issue of the day.
Friends probably admire your ability to think on your feet and have confidence in your choices. And that's what makes you a good leader. So keep moving smoothly down the road of life. You're sure to go places!

Okay, so the movie is kinda weird. Why? Well, a 15 year old HS girls marries a college boy.. well, a graduating college boy. Normal? Well, yeah.. normal.. but well, the story is kinda cute. Its just like playing a game of love and marriage but in the end, both found their selves really in love with each other.
What can you expect? A 15 year old girl who should be enjoying her life as a teenager is wed to a college boy, who eventually became her temporary art teacher. Of course, in the story, Boun loves another guy, a HS freshman like her. She lies to everybody and hurt the feelings of Sangmin. But on the other hand, Sangmin still loves Boun, even helped her with her "all-alone" painting project. Anyway, the movie in someway is moving because the story shows the value of love. On the other hand it really is funny especially on the scene where Boun strikes Sangmin's head with a pencil. Well, 3 stars for this movie. Okay so there is the Meteor Garden Taiwanese drama and the Hana Yori Dango (which is originally an Manga) the Japanese drama. Well I f I'd choose which is better let me dig deeper on the details:
1. Artists Okay.. so MG has "macho" men (except for Vic Zhou who isn't that macho but has this aura of coolness which makes him macho too). While on the other hand HYD has men or boys who are alot skinnier but has this charisma too. Both F4 groups are popular in their own countries. But the weird thing is, in the opening scenes of both dramas, MG really wowed viewers with their charm. I gues girls were drooling while watching them walk. As for the HYD guys, at first it was a bit awkward. The scene, their opening scene... well, they all looked too gay. Correct me if Im wrong but yeah, they looked gay to me... maybe because of the makeup. Shocking! Okay, lets move on.
2. Domyouji Tsukasa's riches vs Dao Ming Si's riches Okay so now, the battle of the riches. Well, I'd say, i like Domyouji's house better if it comes to making it look like they are really rich or something. His house was like a freakin' haunted castle with a dining hall like the ones we see in the Harry Potter movie. Well, to give credit to Dao's house. Its clean and homey. But for the battle of the riches, I'd give it to Domyouji.
Then come the jet/aircraft availability. Well, Id still give it to Domyouji. Gee! they have their own airport for crying out loud. And Dao can only afford first class tickets on an airplane. Hehehe. In the battle for the number of body guards, well, I dunno. hehehe. They have too many body guards, so why would I bother to count.
3. The girls okay so they are both cute and cool. They both posses this "alpha female" thing. But I think San Cai cried too many times rather than Makino. Correct?
4. The moms Both moms are really scary. Hahaha. If I'd have a mother-in-law like their mothers, I'd rather die. hahahahahah.
5. The overall production and stuff Well, I both liked them, but Meteor garden, I really don't like. If I'd give Meteor Garden a rating, I'd rate it 4 stars while Hana Yori is up a notch by .5 which makes it 4.5 stars, hehehe. Anyway, if you're asking why I picked Hana Yori, well, regardless of the gay-ish look entrance, the story is lighter and way more comical. It was funny. It was not too mature rather than Meteor Garde. 'Coz in Meteor Garden there are so many things going on. Well, maybe that's a good point. The viewers would have so many things to think about. So the intensity of the show grows as the viewers are slowly glued on the series. Well, it didn't work for me. Hehe. Sorry Meteor Garden/F4 fans. Hey, but I really like Vic Zhou. hehehe. Vic ZHou vs. Hanazawa Rui, Id choose Vic Zhou. =) Dao Ming SI vs Domyouji Tsukasa, Domyouji (yey for Jun!).
And to end it all, really hate the idea of having 3d helicopters on Meteor Garden's graduation event... with all the flowers (rose petals) flying. I also hate Domyouji's way of punching people. weird. But well, I think they both portrayed a good picture of love and protecting your love. Of being an adult and facing responsibilities. Its up to you to decide.
My verdict: Hana Yori wins by .5 Okay. SO its not a movie. It is a j-dorama. Anyway, I really like this one. It can be compared to coffee prince since both series show women portraying as men but of course with different reasons. But for me, in my opinion, no Coffe Prince lovers to attack me please, I like Hana Kimi better. Sorry CP fans. Why? 'coz the story is lighter, its just about school and stuff, but these students act maturely as possible. its like a feel good movie and at the same time a kinda tear-jerker for me. Well maybe its because im so into the story so at the end of the series i found myself really sad. hope there'll be a part 2! | Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Comedy |
i had to put the year in because there were rumors that Juno (2008) had the same genre/story as Jenny,Juno in 2005 which was a Korean movie. And the difference is in 2008, Juno was girl, in 2005, Juno was a boy. hehehehe.
I have watched Jenny,Juno last year, 2007 and saw similarities. But it bored me so I really didn't have the chance to finish the movie. But well, when I saw Juno, it kinda got me very focused since the approach was not too "classical" or shall I say traditional, unlike Jenny,Juno. The witty and outspoken personality of Juno captured my attention. A good way of portraying and explaining teenage pregnancy, premarital sex and how to handle it.

I should have written something on this way before. But i had this lazy-to-review mode for a couple of months, which shows the sudden change in my page.
Anyway, watched Sweeny Todd and I think it was good movie. Although at first, I felt a bit bored because the opening scene was a dark environment, Johnny Depp sings his piece. Well, after that scene everything became really interesting and at the same time intriguing.
What I love most about this movie was the transition of Mrs. Lovett's dream of building this family-like image with Sweeney and Toby. The transition of the scen from a gray-dark environment to a lovely , bright setting which just only shows that her dream was purely innocent and loving.
It is one heck of a musical/dark movie. Johnny Depp never fails to amuse his audience with his talent | Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Animation |
I hate rats... really. But the movie Ratatouille is quite cute. Funny I say. Although there were some freaky parts because of the rats really looking like real, wet rats... Anyway, the film is one heck of a nice movie... Anyone can cook....that's what really got me there. Yeah.. anyone can cook.. even a rat can cook. Remy... cute little chef... can do wonders by smelling.... sniff sniff.... 4 stars for this movie.... the animations is really good.... I heard that they used over a thousand models of food and kitchen utensils to make the movie and to make the kitchen look like a real 5-star (to 3-star after Chef Gustaeu died) restaurant kitchen. | Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Action & Adventure |
I just have to say something on this... Clearly I've been silent for weks now... Away from the "light"... Anyway... I just love the Transformers movie. Although many people kept on saying "Why is Bumblebee a Camaro... was he a Camaro during the original days of the Transformers? He was a Beetle right?" But... I'll give it a two thumbs up.. the effects and animation of th robots were incredible... and it was really funny for some parts of the movie... :P
PS And the posters are also good....gooooooooooooooooood...... | Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Other |
A really terrifying movie, well, its not terrifying because there were ghosts or unusual things, but the story itself was really terrifying with the play of characters who were both like psychologically disturbed that seems somewhat freaky. Imagine a 14 year old teenage girl castrating a 32 year old photographer. Why? Because the girl believes that Jeff, is responsible for a teenager's death. The ending of the movie was really good... it ended with... "..or not". The movie pulled me closer...closer to really listen and see.. not like any movies where I would get up to have a galss of water or answer the phone. Watching this movie made me feel like I was in a room with just the TV, DVD player, pillow and fan. That's it. A different world. HAhaha. But it was really good. | Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Comedy |
Borrowed this movie from a friend just out of curiosity. Why? Because everywhere I go and everytime there are pirated DVD's ( ^___^ ) I always see Paris Hilton in the front cover. Well, I have other Lampoon movies like Van Wilder, well just got curious about Paris Hilton's acting abilities. Well, all I can say is that she is a modern day Barbie doll. Blonde, tall, slim, just like Barbie. Nyehehehe. Well, the film is quite hilarious and at time eekie, especially during the time where the "mom" let the other girls look at her new boob job- geez. It was awful. Full of stitches and things. Although it was not real, it was yuckie. Hehehehehe. Sororities. Friendships. From duck to swan.Oridnary girls vs the popular, pretty girls- realistic and true. That's it. | Category: | Restaurants | | Cuisine: | Italian | | Location: | Australia |
Kept thinking about this place for quite sometime now. Back in 2002, I went to Australia and the first dish I ate there was served by the waitresses in Sofia's. Sofia's is owned by Sofia Loren (Lauren? I dont know), an actress way back I think. Anyway, had a chance to gobble up some pasta and gelato. Yum yum! The Ai Funghi pasta is just perfect- sauteed mushrooms and onions in cream an white wine. Then partner it with some garlic and herb bread. | Category: | Restaurants | | Cuisine: | Italian | | Location: | Timog, Quezon City |
Well, it's been months since I first took a step inside Napoli and ordered some delicious dishes. Well, basically, the location is quite nice but scratch the part that it's near the now extinct Ozone Disco. Well, the ambiace is not that good but the food is really great. The price is really for people who are in a tight budget, well maybe the average budget.Well, for a big platter of Seafood Gralic pasta, it'll cost you around Php120.00. For a double sized pizza that's really tasty, around Php200 will do. Well, that's all I can say. I know that they have a branch near Libis, but, I'm not quite sure whether it carries the Napoli name. | Category: | Restaurants | | Cuisine: | European | | Location: | El Pueblo, Ortigas Center Pasig City |
Chateau 1771 is a cozy yet expensive place to dine in. The quality and taste of the dishes are really superb. Yet, it's a bit pricey. The place is nice enough for special gatherings. The restaurant's atmospehere gives that warm feeling of being at home and at the same time spending your day at a Euro place. It is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
If you want to try it out, I'll suggest to you a few dihes that will surely melt your heart. Try the Salmon Pillows, really superb. Their steaks are yummy too, juicy and tender and odnt forget to try their Creme Brulee, it's really something. Yum yum! From appetizers to main dishes to desserts I tell you, you'll only savor the best flavors. Price wise, it's expensive. So save up if you want to try dining here at Chateau 1771. | Category: | Restaurants | | Cuisine: | American | | Location: | Just around the block |
Here in the Philippines, you could see Mc Donald's fastfood chains in almost every corner, especially in the Metro. Can't decide what to get for breakfast or lunch and you're drooling over those yummy fries, then go to Mc Donald's. They have the best fries a fast food chain could offer. There's something different about their fries. Hmmm.. what could it be, its so yummy?
Personally, in my opinion, I'd drool over their burgers rather than Jollibee's burgers. Sorry to thos Jollibee burger lovers out there. It's just written in my own point of view. So, what'll I recommend? Maybe its their fries and quarter punder with a coke. Yeah, add those chicken nuggets as well, they're better with the barbecue sauce. For breakfast, try the sausage mcmuffin meal with hash brown or fires. I wonder why don't they have the Mcgirddle here in the Philippines? Its quite odd because the Mcgriddle is a breakfast burger that, instead of using english muffins, they used the pancakes as the muffin and combined it with their sausage. Why is it odd? Because it has maple syrup. They placed maple syrup in between the panckaes and the sausage itself. Its yummy though.Well, Im a McDonald's kid you know?
Trivia: In the 1950s, a McDonald's hamburger, fries and a Coke (12oz) had about 600 calories. Today, the McDonald's 'Extra Value Meal' of a Quarter-Pounder, super size french fries, and a 42 oz Coke has 1550 calories. | Category: | Movies | | Genre: | Animation |
Sprited Away is so far one of the best animated films I've seen. This was made by Hayao Miyazaki that earned praises from film critiques and viewers as well. The film is about a young girl named Chihiro who was trapped in a world where the gods live, bathe and eat. In order to live in that world, she worked for Yubaba and found new friends like Zeniba, No Face, the big baby and Haku. The film is about courage, friendship and trust. | Category: | Books | | Genre: | Literature & Fiction | | Author: | Lauren Weisberger |
I haven't seen the movie yet but from reading the book I can say that it is good. It is a hilarious novel of how a young, fresh grad town girl gets to expreince working for a big time magazine editor in New York. Her life, well, which is basically describes as hell is brought about her boss' compalaints. She first saw the life of models and those who work for the magazine/fashion industry. Food.. well lets not talk about it.
